* If you shift drag and drop to the trashcan you will bypass the trash and delete perminatly
On Windows if you right click and drag and drop it will give you the options of what you want to do.
On Mac you can right click or ctrl click and choose from the list to duplicate or make alias.  Then move the folder or alias.
